- ASIC is seeking a full-time Finance Officer to join their Finance Operations – RFS Helpdesk
- Temporary (12 month) position based in Traralgon (approximately 2 hours east of Melbourne)
- Salary starting from $75,838 (plus 15.4% superannuation) depending on experience

The team
The Finance team provides a range of financial support and analysis services to all of ASIC internal stakeholders. Finance Operations provides direct financial support to the various business units including Administered and Departmental, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Taxation, Unclaimed Monies and Industry Funding.
The role
Provide analysis, advice and support for the ASIC Enterprise Tax Management (ETM) System.
- Process requests for manual corrections to ETM accounts, fees and payments.
- Analyse and prepare data to assist with the effective operations of ASIC's administered revenue.
- Assist in the development, implementation and testing of any changes/updates to ETM.
- System support and monitoring for Unclaimed Monies and Corporations Act related fees, penalties and levies
- Provide advice to management on stakeholder issues and/or risks.
- Liaise with a diverse range of internal and external key stakeholders.
- Identify and recommend ongoing development and enhancement to current processes in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Prepare adhoc reports as required.
- Learn how the Finance system is integrated with many other ASIC systems and understand the role it plays.
About you
Strong problem solving skills.
- Experience in Finance with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Stakeholder management experience including building and managing internal and external stakeholders and utilising networks.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate complex information.
- Attention to detail and accuracy required.
- Work under pressure to achieve deadlines.
- Public Sector Revenue Management (PSRM) knowledge is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to think critically when researching and analysing information to make informed decisions and identify trends.
- Strong working knowledge using Microsoft Excel.
- User Acceptance Testing experience with system changes or upgrades would be advantageous.
