Overview:
Ray White Double Bay is looking to expand its Accounts team, and we are seeking a diligent professional with accounting experience, ideally within the Real Estate or Property Industry. The role will support our CFO, Accounts Officer and Trust Accountant, who manage all finance operations across the Ray White Double Bay network which encompasses multiple business and 80 staff.
Responsibilities:
• Create detailed journal entries and post them to the general ledger (GL) to track all income statements and expenses
• Handle all accounts payable and receivable on a daily basis to make sure each invoice and expense report is accurate
• Reconcile all business accounts to ensure our records match up and no transaction gets lost
• Enter financial data into computer software, making sure all bills and invoices are filed correctly
• Follow up with vendors for accounts payable and keep in touch as needed for collections and ensure bills are paid on time
• Prepare for weekly reporting using standard best practices and assist in monthly closings
• Assist trust accountant with trust enquiries from the PM department including payment of invoices, ledger enquiries, rent changes
• Reconcile marketing in sales trust account and following up outstanding marketing
• Assist the real estate team or other staff accountants with other accounting duties as needed
Experience:
• High school diploma required, a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field is highly valued
• Experience in accounting, real estate accounting, or property accounting preferred
• Experience in real estate industry preferred
• Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting software, such as Xero
• Proficient in property management software, such as Property Tree, Cirrus 8
• Solid written and verbal communication skills are a must
