The Role

The Town of Port Hedland is seeking a detail-oriented Finance Officer to play a crucial role in our dynamic finance team. In this full-time position, you will spearhead meticulous financial administrative services, focusing on the accurate processing of accounts payable in strict compliance with Town policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accounts Payable Expertise: Execute precise accounts payable processes, ensuring accuracy in every transaction.
• Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve outstanding payment issues, showcasing a commitment to maintaining financial integrity.
• Expense Management: Monitor staff utility expenses, conduct reconciliations, and contribute to month-end reporting.
• Documentation Compliance: Ensure meticulous documentation and authorized supporting evidence for sundry payments.

Work Related Requirements

The preferred applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol assessment to be considered for the role, as well as possess:

• National Police Clearance
• Current ‘C’ class drivers license
• Rights to work in Australia
