The Role
An opportunity exists at the APS6 level to provide financial and budgetary services for the Defence Cyber Information and Assurance Branch (DCIAB). No ICT experience necessary - just a proactive, enthusiastic, customer service focus. The Finance Officer is a dedicated specialist, providing support and advice to Directorates within the Defence Cyber Information and Assurance Branch.
As Finance Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring Directorates meet their financial responsibilities in line with governance requirements, and ensure compliance with legislation and the Defence Accounting Policy Framework.

About our Team
DCIAB is part of the Cyber Warfare Division within Joint Capabilities Group (JCG).
The branch’s two core functions are:
- Supporting the Defence Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) in providing leadership and governance to Defence’s cyber and information security capabilities.
- Providing effective cyber and information security advice, guidance and Defence Cybersecurity Operations services to JCG and broader Defence customers.
DCIAB is focused on the prevention, detection, response to and recovery from cybersecurity incidents that may affect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of our information to support Defences’ mission.

- Ability to identify and analyse existing or potential problems and find suitable solutions for each situation.
