Aboutthe position
- The Finance Officer - Procurement Contracts provides the required administrative duties to support the Contracts function of Council in accordance with the procurement and contractual policies and procedures.
- This position will be responsible for the efficient and effective procurement of goods and services on behalf of Council. This function covers both the procurement of goods and/or services for general procurement requirements for Council and/or procurement for goods issued from other areas of Council, according to policies, procedures and general work instructions.
- The salary range for this position is $68,628.51- $73,883.15 gross per annum, plus 17.5% annual leave loading and up to 12.65% superannuation.
- This is a permanent full time position based in the Toowoomba CBD.
- This position participates in a nine (9) day fortnight working arrangement.
Howto be successful in this position - SuccessCriteria
- Hold the mandatory qualification(s), training and/or experience, as outlined under the 'Success Criteria' in the Position Description (attached).
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively in a team environment by developing effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise judgement and initiative where procedures, methods and guidelines are well established.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to provide accurate timely advice in a helpful and supportive manner.
- Sound numeracy, written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to provide administrative support requiring a high degree of judgement, initiative, confidentiality and sensitivity.
- Demonstrated time management, planning and judgement skills in order to organise own work and achieve set and agreed performance and service standards.
- Demonstrated skills in the operation of computer applications including intermediate Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel skills.
- Working knowledge of statutory requirements relevant to the work area.
- Sound knowledge of section policies and procedures.
- Understanding of and commitment to Council’s Organisational Value and Behaviour of Teamwork.
