About the Role: Finance Officer, Targeted Programs

If numbers, strategy, and making a real impact excite you, this role is your perfect match. As the Finance Officer, Targeted Programs, you'll be involved in the financial administration, distribution, and monitoring of targeted program funding for Catholic schools across Victoria.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dive into sector-wide projects and protocols for funding distribution.
• Be the financial maestro behind targeted program budgets and draft reports to relevant subcommittees and leadership teams.
• Analyse, assure quality, and moderate budget reports, ensuring alignment with annual budget goals.
• Optimise processes and enhance grant-related templates for efficiency.
• Take charge of distribution, monitoring, and evaluation of targeted program funds, navigating government accountability, reporting requirements, and completing necessary documentation to facilitate the yearly acquittal process for Targeted Programs.
• Collaborate with Finance and Education Programs teams for continuous improvement and strategic funding initiatives.
• Provide strategic input, tackle day-to-day operational challenges, and deliver high-quality work output.
• Embrace additional duties assigned by the Manager, Finance, Manager, Education Programs and Support, and the Chief Executive Officer commensurate with your knowledge, skills, and experience.

Key Selection Criteria:

• Ability to manage budgets, funding distributions, program acquittals and maintain accurate and accessible records.
• Experience in budget management, tracking expenditure, preparation of budget reports and data management and analysis including advanced Excel skills and data analytics expertise. 
• Ability to understand internal and external procedures and compliance requirements related to State and Australian Government Grants to Catholic Schools, VCEA funding allocations across the Victorian schools and dioceses, accountability, and governance requirements at all levels of the education sector. 
• Well-developed interpersonal skills, including the capacity to effectively communicate with stakeholders and proven capacity to work effectively in a team environment.
