They’re seeking a dynamic Finance Officer who thrives on challenges and excels in a team environment. The Role
Reporting into a Senior Accountant, you will be supported by the broader finance team as you assist with strategy, internal/external stakeholder engagement and carve a career with one of Australia’s emerging organisations. The key duties of the role include:
- FinanceManagement: Overseeing the complete finance function for portfolio companies, encompassing tasks such as Accounts Payable/Receivable, payroll management, job costing, treasury operations, financial reporting, and taxation.
- PayrollAdministration: Managing the payroll operations for portfolio companies, which includes maintaining accurate payroll records, processing wages in compliance with relevant awards and regulations, payroll tax, and superannuation compliance.
- ReconciliationServices: Conducting Balance Sheet reconciliations with internal systems to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- TaxationCompliance: Handling the preparation of tax obligations for the portfolio, including GST, PAYG, and payroll tax compliance.
- StakeholderEngagement: Establishing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders across various functions to ensure alignment with business needs.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintaining the compliance register to ensure adherence to relevant regulations and standards.
About You
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce or Business (Accounting) or an equivalent Diploma/Certificate.
- Thorough attention to detail.
- Proficient in SME accounting.
- Must be an Australian permanent resident.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Prior experience in payroll management.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Minimum of 3 years' hands-on bookkeeping experience.
