About the role
As the Finance Supervisor you will lead a small team to support Western Region to provide corporate support functions and financial controls. This position reports to and assists the Business Manager to assist six divisions within the region. As the Finance Supervisor you will regularly engage with business support functions across Western Victoria and Melbourne.

As the successful applicant your duties will include:
- Supervise, train, and provide guidance to a small team
- Deliver quality customer service outcomes for police members across the region
- Manage financial workflows and regional administration
- Analyse regional cost drivers and assess budget controls
- Provide regional reporting and recommendation to the Regional Business Manager and senior leadership group
- Provide leadership that fosters a culture focused on a cohesive team in line with Victoria Police values
As the successful applicant, you will have:
- Experience in budget management and financial controls
- Have experience in supervising employees
- Adaptive communication skills
- A focus on innovation and change management
- Financial qualifications or equivalent demonstrated experience
Requirements and relevant information
- One full time, fixed term position until 2nd May 2025 (Parental Leave Backfill)
- VPS3: $74,580 - $90,558 p.a. plus superannuation
- The usual place of work will be Western Region Business, located at Western Region Headquarters Geelong. However, you may be expected to work out of any location within Western Region Business, as required.
- Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
- The successful applicant will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
