As a Finance Support Officer, you will play a crucial role in the back office, supporting the management of natural disaster claims from local councils. Your work will be pivotal in addressing the repair needs of Government infrastructure, ensuring effective governance, assurance, and financial oversight.
Key accountabilities include:
- Financial Governance and Assurance: Maintain high standards of financial governance and assurance, ensuring all processes and claims comply with regulatory requirements.
- Claims Management: Assist in the financial management of natural disaster claims, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement continuous process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the team.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with local councils, providing financial support and guidance to facilitate the recovery and resilience of transport infrastructure.
- Governance, Assurance, and Finance Knowledge: Strong understanding of financial governance and assurance principles.
- Disaster Recovery Funding: Experience in managing disaster recovery funding is highly desirable.
- Process Improvement: Proven track record in identifying and implementing continuous process improvements.
- High-Pressure Environment: Ability to thrive in a high-volume, high-pressure work environment.
