Experienced Systems Accounting / Financial Systems Manager or Consultant required for nationwide Logistics & Distribution company
Managing a small team and reporting to the Group CFO, the Finance Systems Manager will be responsible for a small team that oversees all financial and corporate systems, as well as financial reporting, month end system activities, reconciliations and process optimisation & automation.Your duties will include:
- Ownership of the company’s main finance ERP and other key corporate systems, including managing a small helpdesk team for all system related enquiries.
- Own the monthly system reconciliation processes, as well as all financial and management reporting through excel and other systems.
- Work closely with finance to troubleshoot system and process issues.
- Be a champion of efficiency, system automation and integration, working close with operations, technology, finance and others to identify key areas of improvement
- Drive and project manage new initiatives, in line with company growth.
Your Skills:
- Solid experience as a systems accountant, Finance Systems Manager or Finance Systems consultant at a senior level, within a large, enterprise environment (<500 employees / $200M revenue)
- Strong systems experience. Particularly any exposure to legacy systems / tier 2 ERPs
- Have both the ability to operate as a manager (people management, reporting and liaising with exec, project management etc.) and in a hands on capacity ie: monthly reconciliations, systems troubleshooting, data manipulation, VBA, SQL etc.
- A strong commercial mindset. Keeping the business needs in mind and working towards alignment of those needs.
- A strong track record of process improvement. Demonstrable experience in leading the automation & improvement of corporate systems (ideally not just Finance Systems)
- Driving process improvement across and the ability to partner with other senior members across the business
- A sound understanding of complex billing and accounting cycles.
