POSITION SUMMARY 

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our finance team at our Melbourne headquarters. The ideal candidate will ensure accuracy in bookkeeping transactions, support month-end and year-end processes, and contribute to the financial analysis and system evaluations that help drive global brand efficiency.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records.
• Prepare and post monthly journal entries.
• Assist in the preparation and filing of BAS and VAT returns.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and proactively manage key accounts to ensure accuracy.
• Support the preparation of year-end accounts and necessary audit activities.
• Provide ad-hoc reporting and analytical support as required by the business.
• Evaluate and suggest improvements for financial systems and processes to enhance efficiency across the organization.
• Collaborate with team members across departments to support financial and operational objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification preferred.
• Proven experience in financial accounting or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, including preparation of financial statements.
• Experience with accounting software and databases.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate and timely results.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a fast-paced working environment.
   

NICE TO HAVES

• Experience of Microsoft Dynamics Navision 2016.
• Experience working in e-commerce, warehousing, distribution.
• Knowledge of multi-currency group accounting and reporting.
• Intermediate to advanced excel skills.
