We are looking for an experienced Financial Accountant, who is enthusiastic and motivated. In this role you will be responsible for the total financial function of the business. With a wide-ranging scope of work from daily bookkeeping and reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable, along with producing month end management reports, P&L management, and cash flow.
The successful candidate will be proficient in Xero accounting software, have a strong background in finance/accounting, with the ability to adapt and prioritise tasks on an ongoing basis. CIN7 experience is required.
The Opportunity
This role is 4 days per week with flexible arrangements. This is the ideal opportunity for an accomplished CA/CPA Finance Manager who wants autonomy and to be supported with true work/life balance. We are a small, motivated team who collaborate in a creative environment.
The Role
- Accountable for producing and presenting the monthly financial management reports including P&L, cash flow and balance sheet reports.
- Maintenance of the cash flow and working capital to support the company’s growth strategies, maximising return on investment.
- Management of multiple currencies to support a global business.
- Track and compare all financial KPI’s against plans and forecasts.
- Daily accounts payable and receivable.
- Bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Maintain general ledger and maintain records of all financial transactions.
- Recording deposits and purchases within Xero and CIN7 for accurate record keeping purposes.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to aid informed business decisions.
- Adherence to all financial regulations, accounting standards and tax laws/compliance.
- Weekly payroll and lodgement of superannuation.
- Completing reports for lodging GST & BAS.
- Liaising with external Accountant.
About You
- You will have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in a senior financial accounting position within retail, with CA/CPA qualifications.
- Experience with Xero and CIN7.
- Strong commercial acumen and extensive cash flow and budgeting experience.
- Hardworking, highly organised, and proactive.
- Hands on and able to work fluidly to set up systems to support the business.
- Strong operational and problem-solving ability.
- High accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
