A state government organisation based in Perth CBD, are seeking an experienced accountant to step into a 6-month temporary contract, starting immediately. You will be required to work full-time hours and will be paid on a competitive hourly rate.
Your new role
As the Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for:
- Supervising the day-to-day activities of the accounting team
- Preparing monthly and annual statutory accounts
- Liaising with internal and external auditors around finance matters
- Support the wider team in performance and training when needed
- Support the wider team to ensure that daily targets are being met
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be considered for this role, you will demonstrate suitable experience as an Accountant, in addition to:
- Experience in leading and / or supervising a team
- Strong leadership skills with confidence in mentoring staff
- Excellent communication and organisation skills
- The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
