As a Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting with financial statements, reconciliations, and other finance projects, particularly for the EOFY. This role involves various responsibilities, including managing financial operations, corporate cards, and preparing detailed reconciliations in the general ledger.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with financial statements and EOFY reporting
- Perform detailed reconciliations in the general ledger
- Manage corporate card operations and related reconciliations
- Prepare and complete journals and EOM accruals
- Support the implementation of new systems (e.g., travel expense and enhanced gift/benefits systems)
- Contribute to general budget preparation and management accounting tasks (bonus but not required)
- Collaborate effectively with team members
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in QLD government financial accounting
- Proficiency in SAP and Excel (pivot tables, vlookup, xlookup)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage financial operations and corporate card systems
- Knowledge of government accounting principles and EOM accruals
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a small team
