The Role
This role is a minimum 10 month contract to help one of the most pivotal teams in this publicly listed mega-company. They don't want to let go of good people, extensions and permanency options are highly plausible. As the Successful Financial Accountant, your duties may include, but not limited to:-
- Preparation of monthly and quarterly financial accounts for asset relevant to team
- Understand and assist with Management reporting functions
- Understand and assist with the tasks/processes involved in the forecast, annual budget and plan cycle
- Understand and assist with the tasks involved in external and internal audit requirements
- Assist with gathering data for Information Requests & Reporting to external stakeholders
- Coordinate and provide analytical support to the business for any projects, business development activities, business decisions or other option evaluations as required, including providing/maintaining documentation and recommendations
- Understand and be responsible for Capital Management (maintaining fixed asset register; capitalisations, disposals, WIP, impairments, etc.)
- Understand of the Leasing standard and preparation of lease analysis and accounting entries
- Assist with the collation of direct and indirect tax lodgment responsibilities in liaising with direct and indirect tax teams.

You are an independent, resourceful and experienced Financial Accountant, eager to build world-class connections and bolster your career with one of the shiniest positions available for the occupation. You will possess excellent communications skills and have the ability to work autonomously. 2 days WFH available once you are up and running. This team have a “get on with the job” type of attitude and are looking for someone who can read procedure notes and hit the ground running. Travel to relevant asset is not required, but can be facilitated if you desire to do so.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3-4 years experience in Financial Accounting
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Experience with SAP, Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) is advantageous
- CA / CPA qualified or working towards
- IFRS 16 experience is desirable
