The Financial Accountant role sits within our vibrant finance team in the beautiful beach-side mid-North coast town of Woolgoolga. The Financial Accountant will contribute to the pro-active and commercially focused finance activities of our large and complex business unit. This varied role involves financial data consolidation, reporting and regional business partnering.

Key Responsibilities - Financial Accountant:
Data Management and Analysis:
- Prepare management reports tracking financial performance against budget/forecasts, along with variance and trend analysis including development and implementation of dashboard reporting
Insights and Reporting:
- Contribute to the preparation of various data and analytics reports on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis, to support business decision making.
- Prepare financial year end reports for external accountants (and or auditors), providing supporting information and managing delivery within reporting timeframes.
Information and Business Advice:
- Resolve queries from internal or external customers or suppliers by providing information on processes and policies.
- Assist with the annual budgeting process and audit requirements.
Financial Policies, Guidelines, and Protocols:
- Contribute to the development and delivery of financial policies, guidelines, and protocols to ensure the company complies with regulations and good financial practice.
Operational Compliance:
- Contribute to the ongoing compliance of the team to financial requirements.
Internal Relationship Management:
- Develop a business partnering relationship with internal regoinal managers, providing them with relevant financial information and supporting them in financial decisions making.
About you
Experience in a finance role within a commercial organisation is important for this role. In addition, the successful candidate will have;
- CPA certification with a minimum of two years’ relevant post-qualification experience.
- Proven self-initiative and problem-solving skills.
- Strong work ethic, can-do attitude, and willingness to get involved.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively within a team.
- High level of confidentiality.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Previous exposure to SAP or similar ERP systems, and experience within FMCG and/or agriculture sectors will be highly regarded.
