About you
To be successful you will offer:
- At least 3 years’ experience in corporate finance, investment and institutional banking, investment management, consulting or insolvency and restructuring. You could come from a bank, professional services, advisory and consulting firm or the property sector in a comparable role.
- A Tertiary Education Degree in finance, or economics.
- CFA, CA or CPA qualification (not essential, but will be well-regarded).
- An understanding of both asset level, portfolio, and company cashflow forecasting in assessing investment opportunities.
- An interest and understanding in the property industry and market to underpin investment opportunities.
- An ability to remain curious to pursue better ways to ambitious goals.
- A high motivation to demonstrate thorough analytical and research capabilities.
- Strong financial modelling skillset including project and financing cash flow modelling, understanding of debt and equity capital structures, ability to run return and sensitivity analysis and maintain feasibility models through a projects life.
About the Role
Reporting to the ownership group, the Financial Analyst will;
- Provide financial and commercial analysis and insights to support the acquisition, delivery and/or management of assets across the property industry.
- Critically assess new markets, asset classes and business models to build investment strategies, understand key risks and opportunities and contribute to strategic decision-making processes for both the business and projects.
- Be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects, developing feasibilities and financial models and preparing presentations for investment decisions.
- Work with senior staff on end-to-end equity and debt financing processes to support acquisitions and development opportunities, including preparation of due diligence and capital raising materials.
- Preparation of investor materials such as investment committee papers, deal summaries and portfolio returns analysis.
- Work closely with Development teams on live projects, taking the lead on financial aspects including lease negotiation, cost and budget review and performance reporting.
The candidate will also be exposed to Development Management responsibilities, with the opportunity to pivot to this side of the business in the future if desired.
