PERSOLKELLY have partnered with a leading international organisation in the energy sector, who are seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to join their Commercial/Finance team and contribute to their ongoing success.
- 6 Month fixed term contract
- CBD, Perth
- Salary range $110,000 - $130,000 + Super
Are you an accounting professional with at least 5 years post-graduate FP&A or Financial Accounting with a strong focus on Financial Analytics? Are you able to effectively work with data, performing forecasting and modelling to influence business decision making? Are you looking for your next challenge in a supportive and professional team? Snapshot of duties:
- Support and assist with the coordination of planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
- Prepare regular and ad-hoc business performance reports to support corporate submissions and stakeholder engagements.
- Analyse performance against asset management plans and provide insights on key performance indicators.
- Support impairment testing and indicator review activities.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive standardisation and improvement in budgeting, business planning, reporting, and forecasting processes.
- Assist with the preparation of materials (primarily in PowerPoint) to support decision-making and provide insights to Board and management reports as required.
- Perform quality control and assurance on economic models to ensure accuracy and alignment with other key interdepartmental models.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline. (required)
- 5+ years' experience in a Financial Accounting or Financial Analyst role. (required)
- CA/CPA (or equivalent) qualification.
- Experience working with AASB 136 - Impairment of Assets. (highly desired)
- Strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of economics and experience with building, maintaining, and running Excel economic models.
- Experience in the energy or resource sector.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel. Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, and writing Macros in Visual Basics. (SAP and Power BI capability advantageous).
- Strong analytical, business partnering, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analytics.
