We are looking for a passionate and experienced Financial Controller who is committed to supporting their team and exceeding the standard of Early Education in Australia.
Our Financial Controller will have the full support of their management team (Operations, HR, Accounts, Payroll, Marketing and Business Support) mentoring and guiding them to be the best they can be.
The role of a Financial Controller is a key position within the Finance department of the Company. The primary responsibility of a Financial Controller is to oversee the financial activities and reporting of the Company, ensuring accuracy, compliance with regulations, and providing valuable financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
We are looking for a Financial Controller to lead our finance department in day to day tasks.
About the role
- Maintenance of all financial records using MYOB
- Processing payroll for over 80 employees
- Producing extensive financial reports (Daily, weekly and monthly)
- Bank reconciliations
- Managing month end process from start to finish
- Monthly analysis and reporting to branch Management and Head office
- Forecasting and Budgeting controls for the branches
- Guidance to local team in relation to Monthly tasks and processes
- Driving debtor collection with credit collection team
- Preparation and presentation of Monthly Management Reports with recommendations as to business and process improvements
- Preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Actively managing working capital / cashflow position
- Review and management of AR/AP function
- Continuously improve the systems and processes, working to improve operational efficiency of the finance and business operations functions
- Management of all legal and compliance requirements
- Take the lead in projects designed to enhance business operations resulting in improved profitability
What we are looking for
- Must have an accounting specific qualification
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Financial Controller
- MYOB expert
- Expert at Processing payroll for over 80 employees
- Multitasker
- Willing to learn - Qikkids system
- Proven loyalty record
- Full time/ Part time in office role
