Financial Controller

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Financial Controller to join our team. This position reports to the General Manager and is responsible for providing full financial and accounting support for Pullman Cairns International.Collaborating closely with the leadership team, the Financial Controller is responsible for the overall budgeting, planning, and forecasting of the Hotel including the analysis and reporting of monthly and yearly results.What you’ll be doing Manage the budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting processes for the Hotel.Train, develop and manage the Finance team ensuring compliance, accuracy and financial integrity at all levels.Collaborate with the leadership team to gather essential data for long-term, annual, quarterly, and monthly budgeting and forecasting.Report to owners on a monthly basis results, forecasts and P&L.Monitor financial performance against forecasts and budgets, analyse variances, and evaluate key performance indicators.Facilitate weekly and monthly reviews with the Hotel leadership team and provide guidance and direction on cost control and revenue generation.About you:5+ years’ experience in a similar role within the Hospitality industry.Tertiary qualification in Accounting or FinanceDemonstrated ability to influence others through effective verbal and written communication.Demonstrated ability to drive projects across an organisation.Superior attention to detail and ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining a view of the big picture.Strong organisational, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.The perks:You will have access to our ALL Heartists program from day one, offering preferential hotel rates and offers from more than 80 partners.#learnyourway with an online learning platform, and remote classes, there is continual opportunities for learning and development#workyourway with an Industry leader, there are #limitless career pathways for you to pursue at over 400 hotels in Australia and New Zealand, and over 5000 Globally.
