AddressSkytek is a leading maintenance and repair organisation (MRO), specialising in fixed and rotary wing aircraft. Our heavy maintenance facility is based in Cairns, North Queensland where an exciting opportunity now exists for a highly motivated individual to become an integral part of our team.
We currently have a vacancy for a Financial Controller.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
The Role
- Lead the daily transactional functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll
- Develop and maintain relevant procedures for finance department
- Complete regular Cashflow forecasts
- Lead the month-end and year-end process, including all accounting adjustments and month end reporting
- Build strong relationships across the organisation and with external stakeholders.
- Manage bookkeeping tasks, maintaining organized and up-to-date financial records.
- Business Activity Statement (BAS) lodgements and ensure compliance with the assistance of our external accountants.
About you
- Strong passion for financial management.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Ability to anticipate, plan and organise with changes in your daily tasks.
- 3 to 5 years experience handling accounts in a large volume.
