We're seeking a talented individual to join our team in the thriving mining industry.

About the Role: As a Financial Controller, you'll play a pivotal role in our finance department, overseeing all aspects of financial management, reporting, and analysis within the mining sector. You'll collaborate closely with key stakeholders to drive strategic decision-making and ensure the financial health and compliance of our operations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
- Monitor and analyse financial performance, providing insights and recommendations to management
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
- Supervise a team of finance professionals, providing guidance and support
- Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CA certification preferred
- Big 4 background is favourable
- Proven experience in financial management within the mining industry (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
- Leadership abilities with experience managing teams
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel
