Operating within the world-renowned resources sector this mining organisation is led by a proven management team and a strong, experienced Board. Due to structural changes and development of their flagship projects the company is now seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead the team through their next period of positive growth.
Supporting the CFO you will guide the finance team, ensuring the integrity of the financial and management reporting process and take responsibility for:
Delivery of the group monthly Board and management reports;
Preparation of the annual budget and monthly reforecast process;
Approval and prioritising of capital expenditure requests;
Ensuring the effective coordination of cash management & cashflows;
Complimenting the analytical, commercial and strategic focus of the CFO;
Production of ASX compliant statutory reports and accompanying commentary;
Provision of key technical advice to the business; and
Adopting a collaborative and engaged leadership style within the finance and site based / operational teams.
This critical role will appeal to a high performer who enjoys working in a friendly yet busy and dedicated team. You will be CA / CPA qualified and have similar experience in a commercial environment (preferably mining, resources), and perhaps complimented by a background in public practice where you will have gained strong technical skills.
