Form of workStockwell is seeking a Financial Controller to contribute to the financial management and sustainability of the development business. This high-profile role in a well renowned, generational Queensland developer presents exceptional opportunities for personal growth.
Stockwell is a leading private property business with 72 years industry experience. The Group consists of four main operational business lines – Property Development, Construction, Property Management, and Private Capital, as well as owning and operating a diversified portfolio of retail, commercial, and residential assets.
We are experiencing an exciting expansion phase, with a number of new Residential, Leisure, Retail, and Commercial properties and projects adding to our pipeline of over $2bn.
Our growth has resulted in the creation of this role to support the financial management of all aspects of the business. This role would be perfectly suited for someone looking to make their first move into a dynamic commerce environment.
Position Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for the preparation and management of the internal and external financial reporting requirements of the Group. The role will also support and work closely with the Head of Finance to assist with ad hoc project work.
Specifically, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring the month end process is both timely and accurate.
- Preparation of monthly management reporting pack for presentation to the Managing Director, CFO, General Manager’s, and Head of Finance.
- Manage the annual budgeting process.
- Manage tax compliance and planning.
What you will need to succeed in this role:
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Experience working in a commercial accounting role, with preference for experience in a property development or project-based role.
- Accounting degree.
- CA/CPA qualified.
- Understanding of property industry is well recognised but not essential.
