Your new role
The successful applicant would benefit from being involved in a small, fast-growing, dynamic company with a high standard of values and ethics. The work involved is very diverse and will be responsible for installing, inspecting and repairing sprinkler systems.
What you'll need to succeed
You must have experience in :
- Installing plumbing fixtures
- Fix and replace defective and outdated sprinklers
- Solder and weld pipes, tubes, and fittings designed for sprinklers
- Work closely with firefighters, building engineers, and other professionals to ensure that these systems are functioning properly at all times.
- Maintain good customer relationships
- Performing manual labour including lifting, climbing, and clean up
- Test fire pumps
- Service and inspect wet, dry, and pre-action fire suppression systems
- Must be able to perform maintenance and repairs on all the above systems
- Flow testing of fire hydra
The following skills are highly desirable:
- Certification in Fire Protection
- Knowledge of local and national fire codes and regulations
- Continuous improvement training
- Able to travel and stay away occasionally
