About the Role
APS have partnered with a large and successful Australian Owned and Operated Freight Forwarding business in supporting them to bring on their next Fleet Scheduler. Reporting to the Operations Manager this role will be an integral part of their business providing professional support to the Sea and Air Freight team.
Duties
- Coordinating the departure and arrival times of ships/planes to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Determining the most efficient routes based on factors such as weather conditions, fuel efficiency, and cargo requirements.
- Coordinating the loading and unloading of cargo, including scheduling dock time, arranging for equipment and personnel, and ensuring that cargo is properly secured and accounted for.
- Maintaining detailed records of schedules, cargo shipments, crew assignments, and other relevant information for reporting and analysis purposes.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in fleet management, logistics coordination, or related roles.
- Intermediate to Advanced MS Excel and Outlook skills.
- Be technically savvy.
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
