Western Work Force Fleet Hire is an Australian owned and operated Fleet Hire company based in Osborne Park, that specialises in providing mine spec Toyota Hilux, Prado, Landcruiser, Commuter Bus and Hino Crew Cab vehicles.
Job Summary:
As the Fleet Mechanic at Western Work Force Fleet Hire, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and optimal performance of our fleet, with a focus on Toyota and Hino vehicles. This position involves both workshop-based and on-site responsibilities, providing a dynamic work environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for routine maintenance, servicing, repairs, and overall upkeep of our vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
Vehicle Maintenance and Repair:
· Conduct vehicle servicing as per Manufacturer logbook requirements.
· Perform vehicle mechanical inspections.
· Diagnose vehicle mechanical or performance issues and advise with regards to new vehicle warranty guidelines.
· Advise and/or repair all non-warrantable items.
On-Site Services:
· Travel to client sites for on-site services and repairs as required.
· Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach while representing the company on site.
Workshop Management:
· Keep the workshop organized, clean, and comply with safety standards.
· Order, receive, and manage inventory of parts and supplies.
· Ensure all tools and equipment are in good working order.
Record Keeping:
· Update and maintain accurate service records for each vehicle.
· Document all performed services and repairs for future reference.
Vehicle Detailing:
· Detail vehicles as needed, ensuring they meet company standards for appearance.
· Present vehicles to clients in a clean and professional condition.
Parts and Stock Management:
· Monitor and manage inventory levels of parts and supplies.
· Place orders for parts, ensuring timely restocking to minimize downtime.
Company Vehicle:
· Safely operate and maintain the provided company vehicle.
· Adhere to company policies and guidelines regarding vehicle use.
Qualifications and Skills:
· Trade qualification – Automotive Mechanic
· Motor Vehicle Repairer's Certificate classes HVW, TFW and LVW (essential)
· Motor Vehicle Repairer's Certificate classes EAF, ELW and WSS (Desirable)
· Experienced in diagnosis and repair of hydraulics / low voltage electrical
· Highly developed teamwork skills - Must be able to work as part of a high performing team
· Valid WA ‘C' class licence (essential)
· Valid WA ‘HR' Driver's License (Desirable)
· High Risk licence class Forklift (Desirable)
· Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably with expertise in Toyota and Hino vehicles.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Excellent communication and customer service skills.
· Willingness to travel to client sites when required.
· Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality workmanship.
