Anglo American Steelmaking Coal
Steelmaking coal is an essential ingredient in blast-furnace steel manufacture, producing steel used for critical building and infrastructure around the world. In Australia, we operate five steelmaking coal mines in Queensland’s Bowen Basin, and have additional joint venture interests in steelmaking coal and manganese, as well as copper exploration projects underway in North West Queensland and Western Australia.
Job Description
As the FM Operations Supervisor you will be responsible for overseeing facilities management services regionally including villages, maintenance activities and housing portfolios and act as a first point of contact for contract service providers in this area.
Key responsibilities include:
- Oversee services and maintenance activities within the facilities management function, in particular services related to villages and the housing portfolios
- Act as an escalation point for any service delivery/operational issues including collation of information required for stakeholder updates and appropriate reporting
- Participate in cross-functional integration on sustainability to manage relevant risks/impacts
- Support compliance with environmental and social requirements, including commitments to stakeholders
- Contribute to a purpose-led, high-performing culture within the site Facilities Management function, that is aligned with the company values, is inclusive and promotes diversity
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in an operational role within an accommodation village / residential property environment, preferably within a heavy industrial environment
- Exposure to operational processes relevant to facilities management (FM), specifically FM services related to accommodation management, catering, cleaning and maintenance delivered within accommodation villages and local townships
- Exposure to contract service providers and third party contracts
- Ability to identify and implement process improvements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Strong track record of building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated experiencing using ERP systems
