The Opportunity
We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned Operations Supervisor to join our team. Based at our Rockhampton Depot, you will also oversee operations for Biloela and Gladstone, managing daily operational objectives for approximately 250 blue-collar employees.
Oversee, lead, and coach a blue-collar workforce of operations and drivers across three sites. Leading by example, develop, and undertake training for your teams.
Undertake compliance and improvement processes, including driving the review of regulations and requirements, OH&S, and identify continuous improvement opportunities. Undertake prestart and toolbox sessions and other safety compliance-related upskilling.
Managing fleet activity, driver fatigue compliances, GPS data analytics, driver mentoring, training drivers, and involvement with driver recruitment activity.
Establish strong relationships with key clients, community members, and vendors. Manage any feedback and delivery queries when escalated.
About You
We seek a proactive supervisor who excels in team engagement and comprehensively understands and drives an exceptional safety culture, compliances, and efficiency principles essential for excellence in transport operations.
You hold a current HR (Heavy Rigid) License and have at least three years of driver experience in transport, logistics, or the service industry, will be highly regarded.
Experience with front lift, rear lift and hook lift operations, is highly regarded.
You have experience managing and coaching large workforces of blue-collar employees. Your leadership style fosters employee engagement and a culture of respect while driving operational objectives.
Professional communication skills, both written and verbal. Competent with various databases, including GPS systems and the Microsoft suite. Able to pick up new technology quickly.
