We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Food & Beverage Supervisor. Supervising the operations in banqueting to ensure our events run as smoothly as possible. The Conference Centre presents itself as a unique designer space with 11 purpose-built meeting rooms, allowing for endless possibilities.
The Food & Beverage Supervisor will be primarily responsible for the operational requirements of the banqueting department but may also be required to work some shifts in the restaurant.
Responsibilities
- Meet & greet at the commencement of the event, run through the planned program, note any changes and advise other departments accordingly
- Supervise, lead and manage the banquets team
- Ensure that any guest requests are handled promptly and courteously, providing an outstanding and memorable guest experience.
- Coordinating team members to ensure events run smoothly
- Be operational, hands on assisting the team
To be successful in this role, the applicant must possess:
- Passion for customer service
- Supervisory experience in a similar role
- Proven experience in leading and motivating a team
- Strong interpersonal skills both with internal and external customers
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve and remain calm under pressure
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Be available to work a minimum of 38 hours per week across a variety of shifts
- Must not rely on public transport as start and finish times can in the early hours of the morning
