About the department:
The Food Services Department is an in-house service, which provides patient meals for all campuses of Austin Health, as well as providing a patient meals service to Royal Women’s Hospital
About the role:
The role is required to liaise with other day shift supervisors in ensuring the daily requirements are met, to discuss annual leave plan, utilisation of casual staff, etc. The role is also responsible to liaise with the Menu Monitors in ensuring that the correct dietary information is supplied, meal demand numbers and patient movement information is provided. The supervisor is also responsible to maintain the highest standards of personal and workplace hygiene through participation of the Food Safety Plan.
To be successful in this role you must:
Have prior experience as either a Senior Food Service Assistant, Production Team Leader or other relevant Hosptail Food Service experience.
The role is responsible in ensuring that patient meal service is delivered within budgetary constraints in regards to food and labour costs, compliant to the Department’s food safety plan and meeting patient satisfaction in regards to the patient meal experience.
