Our Support Services team provides a range of essential non-clinical services that help our hospitals run. We provide Food Services, a central production kitchen, patient support, porters, cleaning, linen, pest control, waste management, car parking, hygiene services and some retail services.
This Food Services Supervisor role is based at the new Casey Early Parenting Centre (EPC) in Clyde North, which is a purpose-built facility providing specialised wellness support for families with children aged three years or younger. It has the capacity for 10 overnight beds and four beds in the day program, and the service will run Monday to Friday.
Position: Food Services Supervisor, Ongoing
Part Time - 60 hours per fortnight Monday to Friday
We are looking for a qualified Food Services Supervisor to oversee the day to day operations of the Food Services team that prepares and provides meals to our families. The position will also be responsible for ensuring the work of our Food Services Assistants and Menu Monitors is delivered to a consistently high standard, meeting both legislative and Department of Health requirements.
A Day in the Life:
As a key member of the Food Services team, you will ensure that the team's work outcomes are achieved as well as coordinating and supervising patients' meals. In addition to supervising the team's activities, you will also complete a range of administrative tasks including rostering, processing time sheets and leave requests.
This is a hands-on role in which you will work closely with Food Services Assistants, Menu Monitors and the Food Services Manager.

What you need:
Current Food Hygiene Certificate(essential)
Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (essential)
Relevant formal qualifications at Certificate IV level or above
A strong understanding of food safety
Demonstrated experience in customer service from hospitality environment
Knowledge of stock control (Desirable)
Knowledge of computer-based menu management system (Desirable)
Basic to moderate computer skills
