We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator/Warehouse staff to join our team on day shift. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient and safe handling of seafood products throughout the supply chain process. This position requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
Responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to safely transport seafood products within the warehouse and production areas.
• Load and unload trucks, containers, and storage areas in a timely and efficient manner, following proper handling procedures.
• Assist with inventory management, including counting, labelling, and organising products.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse, ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
• Collaborate with team members to fulfill orders and meet production deadlines.
• Adhere to all workplace health and safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe operating practices.

Qualifications:

• Valid forklift license and demonstrated experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or similar environment with at least 2 years of experience.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and physically demanding role, with excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks such as inventory counting and product labelling.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well independently as well as part of a team.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards is preferred but not essential (training will be provided).
• Flexibility to work varying shifts and overtime as required.
• Full working rights to work 38+ hours, Monday to Friday.
