The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst. This role will be responsible for providing an extremely high level of service to ensure we fulfil the delivery promise. Reporting to the Senior FP & A Manager, you will support budgeting, forecasting, monthly reporting and analysis to strengthen the strategic direction and financial sustainability of the business.
Key responsibilities
- Support the Budget and Forecast development process
- Investigate and analyse Revenue and Expense variances, and understanding the drivers of performance
- Maintain staff movements, and allocation by client for reporting purposes
- In-depth analysis of individual client performance from Transport Management System and reporting tools
- Identifying and understanding trends in performance
- Prepare Month end accruals and reporting on overhead spend
- Prepare monthly performance reports
- Perform upload process into reporting tool (Adaptive)
- Disseminate complex information in a way that is easily understood by various audiences
What we are looking for in the successful candidate:
- Advanced MS Excel skills and Power BI (or similar BI tool knowledge)
- At least 3 years’ experience in Financial Planning & Analysis role.
- Qualified Accountant
- Self-starter and ability to work independently
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with conflicting demands simultaneously, solve problems, manage and meet deadlines and maintain a high quality of work
- A team player with good communication skills.
- Possesses a 'can do' attitude, is reliable, has a strong work ethic and is motivated to do a great job
- The ability to think "outside the box’ and aim for continuous improvement of procedures and processes.
