Extremely exciting opportunity to join the Beam Suntory team on a 12 month fixed term contract as we embark on an exciting growth phase in our business. The primary purpose of the role is to support FP&A activities across Australia and New Zealand. This role will be reporting directly to the Oceania Senior FP&A Manager and working closely with Commercial Finance Teams in Australia and New Zealand.
Role Responsibilities
Reporting & Analysis
- Coordinate across functions to ensure complete month-end closing & monthly forecast submissions
- Prepare monthly / quarterly reporting packs; month / year to date performance, KPI reporting and Financial Risks & Opportunities.
- Generate insightful and actionable reporting and analysis to support driving the business towards financial and operational goals.
- Prepare data for online reporting to support commercial teams
- Support in the planning, budgeting and forecasting processes for Australia
- Consolidate and submit monthly forecasts, LE, Strat Plan and Budget to internal systems.
- Ensure accuracy of all monthly forecasts in the internal systems, including fixed contractual costs
- Ensure group and regional deadlines are adhered to
- Make recommendations for simplification of month end reporting processes, including best use of tools available and recommendations for new tools.
- Provide management information and insightful analysis to assist commercial team to identify business and financial improvement opportunities.
- Drive the development and improvement of forecasting and business planning processes to achieve improved accuracy and efficiency, and ultimately better business insight.
- Prepare Oceania Monthly & Quarterly Business Review decks for presentation to APAC
- Consolidate Oceania for Month End closing
- Consolidate Oceania Day 5 reporting where required
- Support all template roll-out on required strategic reviews
- Support in managing OPEX in Australia
- Propose commercial journals managing month end P&L, checking final and providing commentary to the month end P&L including monitoring of contractual costs
- Support project implementations for Oceania
- Degree qualified with finance or accounting qualification and 3-5 years relevant industry experience.
- Systems/software - experience in using advanced Microsoft Excel (essential), and management reporting/consolidation systems (preferable).
- Experienced in writing succinct and insightful business performance reports, and summarizing business analysis.
- Strong in building financial models.
- Cross Functional Working - proven experience in working proactively across commercial functions to deliver total business performance solutions.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Management - demonstrated experience in influencing and managing multiple stakeholders, building mutually beneficial, profit-focused business relationships.
