About the role:
The key purpose and responsibility of this role is to provide insights and understanding through business performance reporting and analysis. The individual will critically consolidate week and month end performance results, establish / maintain and improve reporting, deliver quality and insightful commentary, assist in the preparation of quarterly forecasts, annual budgets, variance analysis and management reporting. In addition, the individual will prepare and enhance metric reporting to aide decision making by senior management.
Key responsibilities:
- Responsibility for preparation of the weekly, monthly and quarterly management reports for Australia and New Zealand, providing commentary and insight of the business performance.
- Report on KPI's on key business drivers to monitor performance (includes weekly metrics) and where required identify new key business drivers to monitor performance.
- Ensure delivery of information from the business is accurate, timely, sufficient quality to be used for decision making.
- Undertake regular analysis to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and trends that are critical to managing the business.
- Prepare, analyse, interpret and present a range of finance reports.
- Support the wider stakeholders where required.
- Assist with the preparation of quarterly forecasts and annual budgets.
- Work closely with wider commercial finance and corporate finance team to ensure the timely delivery of forecasts and budgets.
- Challenge the financial outputs from the Forecasting and Budgeting Process.
- Support the Commercial team when required with the loading of forecasts and budgets into SAP.
- Assist on preparation of the forecast and budget reporting process.
- Support continuous improvement and maintenance of SAP and reporting systems to ensure visibility of financial information across the organisation.
- Ensure business continuity through reporting timely and relevant information.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Develop innovative ways to present information to key stakeholders to facilitate the effective transfer of information.
- Implement a range of system and process efficiency improvement initiatives
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis as required.
- Helping to drive and deliver continuous improvement in the FP&A team.
About you:
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- Prioritisation, planning and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to achieve results without a direct reporting relationship
- Advanced MS Office Skills especially Excel, PowerPoint (Power Query is a plus)
- Experience with BI Planning, SAP and BW reporting tools
- Financial modelling skills
