About the opportunityDue to an internal promotion we have the opportunity for a Senior FP&A Business Analyst to join the team and report to the Finance Manager - WooliesX FP&A. You will be a key finance partner to the WooliesX Finance teams, and work closely with Food & Group FP&A teams. The role supports the WooliesX reporting, forecasting and budget processes, providing financial insights for management and contributes to senior reporting and Board material.
The purpose of this role also extends to providing thought leadership and business insight to the SET and in particular the GM Finance.
What you'll do- Prepare monthly Board and Executive performance reports with actionable insights and variance analysis using financial and non-financial metrics.
- Support annual strategic and operational planning, lead monthly and quarterly reporting, and forecasting cycles.
- Prepare analysis and reports for quarterly market announcements, collaborating with External Reporting and Investor Relations teams.
- Assist in developing key strategy documents for WooliesX's Managing Director and General Manager of Finance.
- Manage the integrity and accuracy of data in the WooleisX Planning Analytics tool, driving improvements for data-led insights, planning automation, and centralised data management.
What you'll bring- 4+ years post qualified experience with exposure to corporate performance and planning role.
- Relevant professional qualifications such as CA/CPA.
- Strong communication skills, influencing, stakeholder management and relationship building skills.
- Able to communicate complex financial information to a broad audience; able to make the complex simple and the ability to deal with ambiguity.
- Proficient in presentation and storyboarding, with data visualisation techniques being highly desirable.
- Demonstrated strong time management skills, prioritising time effectively to meet business objectives and deliverables.
- Experience using financial systems in a commercial environment e.g. IBM Planning Analytics, SAP, BPC, Connected Sheets (Google), SuccessFactors knowledge would be advantageous.
