To bring this experience to life, we are looking for an innovative and passionate Groups & Events Executive. This role is vital for the procurement of conference business, and assisting in the planning and delivery of service during conferences & Events.Your day-to-day
- Actively pursue leads and drive conversion to ensure all business opportunities are followed up and all defection and lost business is revisited regularly
- Assists in the coordination and liaison with the Food and Beverage Manager and the Executive Chef, the pricing and preparation of banquet menus, and beverages and wine lists
- Provide quotations for conference and events proposals covering venue, function, menu and accommodation costs ensuring revenue is maximized
- Preparation of Event Planning documents as required – including Request for Information, Event Orders, Invoices & Floorplans
- Ensure progress deposits and final accounts are invoiced and payments received in a timely manner, complete billing and post charges for each event
- Coordination and Hosting of site inspections, pre-conference meetings and post conference reviews with clients
- Proactively seek feedback from in house and past event clients to ensure client satisfaction and to generate repeat business
- Diploma in hotel management, sales/marketing or related field
- Demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company.
- A proactive approach to developing & maintaining strong relationships
- Adaptable and a quick thinker with problem solving skills who proactively looks to assist where possible
- Organised and with high attention to detail and the ability to coordinate multiple events simultaneously
- Knowledge of or previous experience in Hotel Event Planning is an advantage
