About the opportunity
We are hiring a freight and supply chain expert to act as a point of accountability for a portfolio of Australia Post’s intermediary customers. Managing a number of large freight forwarders, 3PLs and domestic freight brokerages you will have a portfolio of about 10-20 customers and be responsible for the retention and growth of a revenue of around $50 million.
What you’ll deliver with us
Using your freight expertise you will be able to help implement and optimise intermediary solutions within a full end to end supply chain.
You will be responsible for creating strategic account plans for our customers, establishing, building and growing deep customer relationships from your industry and operational knowledge and ability to work with a variety of trade partners.
You’ll also
- Manage account relationships by leading regularly planned sales calls with Senior Executive level stakeholders to fix problems and deliver an excellent customer experience.
- Retain customers by engaging customers throughout the lifecycle of their contracts, renewing existing contracts, conducting price reviews and surcharge compliance.
- Identifying and qualifying cross-sell opportunities for commercial growth.
- Co-ordinating integration between the customers and AP’s activities including service, sales, solution design and implementation.
- Document all sales and account management activity in Salesforce to provide AP’s sales enablement functions to succeed with quality data.
About you
You will be a freight expert, with a deep understanding of the domestic supply chain and how to help our intermediary customers get the best out of Australia Post. You will be able to confidently speak to people within the industry at varying levels with credibility.
You’ll also need
- A demonstrated commercial background, showing where you’ve delivered key commercial outcomes within a competitive environment.
- An ability to solve customer problems decisively, take ownership and see things through to resolution – often engaging multiple stakeholders from Australia Post in the network and customer success functions
- An appetite for growth and development and change, as we continue to simplify our products and services to create a meaningful experience for customers.
