Programmed, in partnership with Freo Group, is offering the opportunity for residents of Karratha or it's surrounding towns to undertake a Mobile Plant Mechanic Apprenticeship at our local Karratha branch.

Who we're looking for
Commencing as a first-year apprentice Mobile Plant Mechanic, this apprenticeship is designed to provide a comprehensive practical and theoretical base to support the development of mechanical skills required to maintain and enhance the integrity of heavy mobile equipment and control systems. With safety at the forefront of operations, high priority will be given to developing strong safety awareness and safe working practices.
It's important you're willing to learn and develop your skills over this apprenticeship and have an excellent attitude and strong work ethic. You will enjoy hands on learning, be passionate about creating a career in the industry, and be willing to work as part of an experienced team, under close supervision and at times independently.
In addition, you will:
- Have excellent communication, literacy and numeracy skills.
- Have great attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Have the ability to meet strict deadlines and cooperate with others.
- Demonstrate basic knowledge and understanding of relevant workplace health and safety requirements.
- Successfully pass pre-employment background checks, medical, drug and alcohol screening and site inductions.
Skills and Experience:
To be successful, you will meet the following criteria:
- A current WA driver's license and own transport
- Completion of secondary schooling
- Have a good mechanical understanding and aptitude
- Relevant work experience
- Strong commitment to safety and driven work ethic
- The ability to pass a pre-employment medical and regular drug & alcohol screening tests.
- Genuine interest in a career within the role
