The Role:
We are seeking a full-time Hotel Manager at our Albert Park Lake location.
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for making and modifying reservations, attending to guest requests, and maintaining a high level of service the business is recognised for.
We are looking for someone to fill our Hotel Manager vacancy which hours consists of but not limited to Monday – Friday 7am – 3pm
Key responsibilities include:
- Handling of incoming calls from in house and potential guests.
- Following processes for checking guests in and out, as well as processing payments.
- Creating and updating reservations over the phone and via email.
- Ensuring guests experience a high level of service.
- Handling guest enquiries, requests, complaints, and comments in a timely and professional manner.
- Working closely with the Housekeeping team to ensure room status’ are current.
- Completing simple daily reporting.
- Build a rapport with leisure and corporate guests ensuring they will want to return.
- Manage all aspects of the Front office department.
- Supervise staffing levels to ensure that guest services and day to day operational needs are met.
- Reviewing occupancy and allocating duties to Housekeepers, Maintenance and Front Desk
- Creating monthly Front of House staff rosters
- Training of all new Front of House staff
- The ability to work a rotating roster, independently and as part of a team.
- Be available for a rotating on call roster
- Be able to assist in any afterhours emergencies
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience in customer service and team management.
- The ability to think quickly and problem solve.
- High level of attention to detail.
- The discipline to work alone and within a small team.
- A professional attitude and appearance.
- Prior experience with RMS booking system is ideal but not essential.
Please note: This role is onsite 5 days a week.
