The Role
This is an award winning, progressive infrastructure advisory firm with multiple service offerings. As part of the broader business plan this position sits within the environmental division will report to an Environmental Director. The core function of this role will be to both scale the current team size and market share of the remediation and contaminated Land team.
You’ll be inheriting an existing team which is fully utilised at present with the view to double both team size and revenue over the next few years. As this is a leadership appointment, there will be an opportunity for both bonuses and equity ownership incentives to ensure you’re rewarded for your hard work but, also to empower you to be part of the long-term business.
Key Responsibilities
Key duties and responsibilities include:
- Drive business development to further expand and diversify environmental offering
- Lead contribution to proposals, panel submissions and develop/expand client relationships
- Lead a team of staff managing time utilisation, performance objectives and staff wellbeing
- Develop and implement strategic growth plan inline with broader company aspirations
- Manage and contribute to environmental assessments including Preliminary and Detailed Site Investigations, remediation planning, landfill gas risk assessment, investigation of soil, vapour and groundwater quality
- Work closely with clients and contractors to address challenging environmental issues
- Provide an experienced level of technical report writing
- Provide guidance and transfer of knowledge to project staff
About You
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications/experience:
- Have a degree in environmental engineering or science
- Likely have circa 10 years or greater industry experience
- Have a proven history in business development and client generation ideally across multiple sectors
- Ideally held a leadership appointment before
- Be an excellent communicator (both written and verbal) with the ability to work cohesively within a team environment
- Have a firm understanding of current industry regulations, guidelines and trends related to contaminated Land management and environmental risks
