At Shangri-La, The Marina, Cairns, we have an excellent opportunity for an
experienced Front Office Manager to lead our team within the Front Office Department.
The Hotel
Shangri-La The Marina, Cairns is a luxury five-star hotel located beside Marlin Marina
and Trinity Inlet in the heart of Cairns. With 255 guest rooms, 18 function venues and
extensive food and beverage facilities, the hotel is part of a leading international
company with more than 100 hotels and resorts worldwide.
The Role
As theFront Office Manager, you will lead departmental operations to uphold exemplary standards and surpass customer expectations. We are seeking a leader dedicated to cultivating and empowering our Front Office Team, fostering strong cross-departmental relationships, and nurturing a positive work culture. Collaborating closely with Senior Management, you will ensure alignment with the hotel's short and long-term objectives, while consistently delivering unparalleled guest satisfaction.
The successful candidate will possess:
- Extensive experience using Opera PMS is essential
- Proven experience within a Front Office Manager role
- Extensive hotel Front Office experience
- Proven leadership abilities in team training and motivation
- A track record of enhancing customer service aligned with the Shangri-La Brand
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
- A knack for anticipating and exceeding guest needs
- Change management expertise
- Strong negotiation skills
- Strategic and tactical thinking
- Exceptional telephone technique with exceptional communication skills
- Impeccable grooming and presentation
