Hotel Northbridge is currently looking for a suitably experienced Front Office Receptionist to join our Front Office team.
You will be responsible for:
- Greeting guests, answering inquiries, and providing assistance with check-in and check-out procedures.
- Handling reservations, cancellations, and modifications, and ensuring accuracy of booking information.
- Assigning rooms to guests based on their preferences and availability.
- Collecting payments, processing credit card transactions, and managing cash transactions.
- Providing information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions to guests.
- Answering phone calls, responding to emails, and taking messages for guests and other departments.
- Resolving guest complaints, addressing special requests, and ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Monitoring the lobby area, ensuring security protocols are followed, and assisting in emergency situations.
- Maintaining guest records, updating databases, and completing paperwork related to Front Office operations.
- Liaising with other departments such as housekeeping, maintenance, and food and beverage to coordinate guest services effectively.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Front Office experience within a 4 or 5 star hotel (essential).
- Excellent organizational, time management and computer literacy skills
- The ability to deal with guest issues in a timely, positive and professional manner
- Strong attention to detail, interpersonal and communication skills
- A high standard of personal presentation
- Previous cash handling experience
- The willingness to work 24 hour rotational shifts as required
- Experience using roomMaster (preferable).
- Ability to work a 7 day roster across both day and night shifts.
This role will start as casual with the potential to be made full time in the future.
