The role:
We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Frontline Applications Team Lead to join our Digital Services team on a full time, permanent basis. This role will be responsible for leading a stream of software engineers to develop, maintain and transition various applications within the organisation. Reporting to the Manager of IT Applications, the role is based in our Head Office in Belmont.
Some of the responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
Manage the application development lifecycle, including planning, requirement gathering, design, development and maintenance as required
Maintain a strong understanding of the organisations technology stack, frameworks and best practices related to software development
Be a visible and approachable leader and foster a positive team environment
Monitor and manage direct reports with coaching and development conversations
Build and maintain the necessary technical expertise and capability for the stream to fulfil the objectives of the organisation and maintain high standards
Ensure projects are delivered to a high standard and in-line with timeframes
Review business processes and systems to improve efficiencies within the stream
Skills and Attributes required:
Strong technical background and expertise in software development, including proficiency in programming languages, frameworks and development methodologies
Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects within time and budget
Previous experience in a Team Lead role within a Software Development environment
Demonstrated people management experience
Knowledge of planning and budgeting
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and collaboration with key stakeholders
