Microkeeper is a SaaS (software as a service) company specialising in cloud-based rosters, timesheets and payroll.

Position Description:

Microkeeper is looking for someone who has a passion for technology, coding and creating user first applications. This role requires proficiency in PHP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and a keen understanding of MySQL database management. You'll be responsible for developing both front-end and back-end components, optimizing databases, and configuring Nginx web servers, all while adhering to responsive design principles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Web Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain the front-end and back-end components of our SaaS platform using PHP, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
• Database Management: Design and optimize MySQL databases for efficient data storage, retrieval, and manipulation.
• Server Configuration: Configure and manage Nginx web server for optimal performance, security, and scalability.
• Feature Implementation: Translate user requirements into functional software components, implementing new features and enhancing existing ones.
• UI/UX Enhancement: Collaborate with UI/UX designers to create intuitive and visually appealing interfaces.
• Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable code, adhering to coding standards and best practices.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

• Full Stack Proficiency: Solid experience in PHP, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
• Intermediate Database Expertise: Knowledge of MySQL database design, optimisation, and management.
• Web Server Configuration: Proficiency in Nginx web server configuration and management.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and implement effective solutions.
• Version Control: Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Responsive Design: Familiarity with responsive design principles.
• API Development: Experience with designing and consuming RESTful APIs.

Preferred Skills:

• Security Awareness: Understanding of web application security best practices.
• DevOps Knowledge: Basic knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines.
• UI/UX Design: Collaboration experience with UI/UX designers.
• Advance Database Expertise: Strong knowledge of MySQL, including complex queries, partitioning, indexing and clustering.

Mandatory Requirements:

• Available for full time onsite role at our Geelong (Newtown) head office
• Permanent Australian resident
