Taxperts, the professional tax accountants and mortgage brokers located in Clayton, Point Cook and Narre Warren are providing services in tax accounting, bookkeeping, financial planning, super fund management for individuals and corporate clients, property development projects as well as home and investment loan assistance. We are looking for a qualified, experienced Full time Accountant to join our team at Clayton Office.
Full Time Accountant
Salary $70,000 to $85,000 plus SUPERANNUATION
Duties & responsibilities
• Preparing financial reports and tax returns;
• Assisting in formulating budgetary and accounting policies;
• Conducting financial investigation, preparing reports, advising on matters such as the purchase and sale of businesses, taxation;
• Examining operating costs and organization’s income and expenditure;
• Assisting in the timely and accurate preparation and submission of income tax returns for individuals and organizations;
• Preparing financial and taxation advice on business structures, plans and operations;
• Perform client account wages and income tax reconciliation on quarterly and annually basis;
• Providing technical support to staff and training within the practice;
• Introducing and maintaining accounting systems and advising on the selection and application of the computer-based accounting systems.
• Liaising with administrative matters with the ATO and relevant authorities, financial institutions and brokers to establish funds management arrangements;
• Appraise cash flow and financial risk of capital investment projects.
• Any other duties as may be designated by the partner from time to time, and at any time.
Skills and selection criteria:
• Relevant Bachelor Degree or higher
• Minimum 2+ years’ relevant experience
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Previous experience in training accounting interns on tax related matters and operational procedures.
• Self-motivated and ability take initiatives
• A strong client service focus
• Desire to work collaboratively in a professional team focussed on continuous improvement.
• Ability to work to deadlines with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
