The Role


As a Receptionist with North Queensland Physiotherapy Centre, you will play a pivotal part of a vibrant healthcare network.  As the face of our organization, you'll have the opportunity to interact with a diverse range of individuals and contribute to our mission of providing exceptional care to our community.

As a receptionist, you'll have the chance to engage with athletes, coaches, and sports enthusiasts, further enriching your experience and broadening your network within the community.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist patients with warmth and professionalism, ensuring a positive experience from the moment they enter our clinic.
  • Manage appointment scheduling and ensure accurate documentation of patient information.
  • Coordinate with healthcare providers and support staff to maintain efficient clinic operations.
  • Handle inquiries over the phone, via email, and in person, providing helpful information and directing queries to the appropriate channels.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and inventory management to support the smooth functioning of the clinic. Assist with maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and presentation of the practices to enhance patient experience.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role preferred.
    Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a courteous and empathetic demeanor.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail, capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite and experience with electronic medical records systems is a plus.
  • A positive attitude and a genuine desire to contribute to a collaborative team environment.

Desired (but not required):

  • Allied Health/ Medical administration experience
  • Experience with third party companies like NDIS and Workcover

Our team treat people of all ages with physical problems caused by illness, accident, or ageing.
