Role Description:
As a Toolmaker you will be a crucial member of the production team, overseeing the operation of stamping presses and tool maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
Responsibilities:
- Performing breakdown repairs on tooling within a manufacturing and production setting.
- Executing preventative maintenance tasks on tooling.
- Ensuring adherence to manufacturing and engineering standards in tooling maintenance.
- Operating conventional machines including lathes, milling, drilling ect.
- Offering suggestions for enhancing tooling efficiency and effectiveness.
- Conducting investigations into product, equipment, and process failures.
- Maintaining updated workshop drawings for tooling replacement and spare parts manufacturing.
- Participating in safety and quality programs.
- Demonstrating proficient measuring skills suitable for manufacturing processes.
- Continuously enhancing skills to attain the highest quality standards.
Skills and Abilities:
- Possess a qualification in Tool Making or Fitter and Turner.
- Comprehensive understanding of press tooling, processes, and technologies.
- Profound expertise in the design of press and forming tooling.
- Proficient use and comprehension of computer systems and software.
- Exceptional comprehension of design interpretation in both 2D and 3D formats.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Demonstrates efficiency and speed in work.
- Outstanding problem-solving abilities.
- Works well in a team.
