Overnewton Castle is Seeking a Hospitality Superstar to Take on the Role of Function Supervisor managing a variety of private and ticketed events.
We are seeking an experienced Function Supervisor with a passion for impeccable service, professionalism and thorough attention to detail. Reporting to the Director, you will be tasked with ensuring our ticketed, private and corporate functions are delivered to the highest of standards. As the point of contact for our clients, you have fantastic interpersonal skills and genuine enthusiasm for a well run event.
This family owned and operated business delivers bespoke event experiences, so this role would suit someone seeking casual weekend work (3-15 hours per week), with the occasional mid-week shift, discussed in advance.
Key Selection Criteria;
- Weekend availability with the flexibility to work weekdays if notified in advance.
- Current Victorian RSA Certificate and Food Handlers Certificate
- Confident problem solver, able to think on your feet and lead a small team where required.
- Capable of responding to feedback with exceptional communication skills
- Experience working in bespoke events – weddings, conferences, funerals, themed events
Example of Duties;
- Welcome and assist guests, clients and visitors on the property
- Customer Service – Food & Beverage table service, cash handling, prompt complaint resolution
- Staff supervision and event management with a hand on approach to all function operations
- Overseeing kitchen requirements like stock, service times, dietary requirements
